Brokenhearted

Brokenhearted is an R&B ballad by the American singer Brandy from her debut album Brandy . The album version was produced by Keith Crouch and was a solo track. The remix version produced by Soulshock & Karlin in a duet with Boyz II Men front man Wanyá Morris was released as the fourth and final single in August 1995. The remix version also appeared on the Boyz II Men album The Remixes .

Admission process

The album version of Brokenhearted was recorded in just one take. Brandy recalled this in a 2005 interview on the promo tour for The Best of Brandy :

“There's a funny story behind the recording of that song! I really wanted to go to Six Flags but the producers kept saying, 'only after you finish recording!' I sang my heart out ... I wanted to go to Six Flags so bad! You can hear the passion in my voice! "

The idea for a duet version came up while Brandy was on tour for two months as the opening act with Boyz II Men in early 1995 . Music video

The music video was directed by Hype Williams . The video was shot in Spring Hills, New York . The video is about Brandy's daydream, who lets her act in a villa with duo partner Morris. Actor Donald Faison makes a cameo on the video.
