Wanyá Jermaine Morris (born July 29, 1973 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American singer and front man of the group Boyz II Men .
Musical career
In 1988 Wanya founded the group Boyz II Men together with Shawn Stockman , Nathan Morris , Marc Nelson and Michael McCary, which celebrated its first international success in 1991. He is characterized by his high rank and his emotional nature. After Boyz II Men released End of The Road in 1992 , they reached the top 10 of the German single charts at number 5 and also became known in Germany. Wanya Morris and his group members established further successes and Wanya released solo singles such as the 1995 duet Brokenhearted (Soulpower Groove Mix) with Brandy , a single from the first remix album Boyz II Men's , although the band had never split up before . The song reached the top 10 in New Zealand and the United States. At this time he began a relationship with Brandy and they were a couple for several years until they both went their separate ways in the mid / late 1990s. Although he had already recorded solo duets with Left Eye , Mariah Carey , Brandy Norwood , LL Cool J and Faith Evans , Morris did not release his debut album Unreleased until 2007 on the Internet.
