program

According to the party's own account, the split was triggered by nepotism , corruption and affairs by the SLD. Consequently, it advertises that it wants to wage a determined fight against corruption (the instrument should be the establishment of an independent anti-corruption agency) and liberate the state from party rule.

In foreign policy, the party advocates a balance in relations with its European partners and the United States . It is considered to be Europe-friendly and calls for the rapid ratification of the European Constitution and the Lisbon Treaty .

Domestically, it calls for a parliamentary democracy with a chamber and a secular state in which public rule is neutral in terms of faith. The state should hold back from church funding as much as possible. The SDPL supports the possibility of abortion .

In the economic part of its program, the SDPL calls for a progressive tax for the non-self-employed, consideration of social aspects in privatizations and more protection for temporary workers. One wants to promote the unions and their development in the private sector.
