The Social Democratic Party of Upper Valais (SPO) is a political party in the German-speaking part of the canton of Valais .
The SP Oberwallis is now the fourth strongest political force in Oberwallis. It stood in the last municipal council elections in 2016 in 8 of the 29 voting proportional communities with its own lists and is represented by a council in Baltschieder , Brig-Glis , Leuk , Naters and Visp .
