Space Panic is an arcade game , which in 1980 by Universal was produced. It was described by Chris Crawford as the first platform game which belongs to the genre of jump 'n' run . In contrast to Donkey Kong , the game character cannot jump. In Germany it was distributed by ADP Automaten GmbH, which belongs to the Gauselmann Group .
Game description
The game consists of 5 levels that are connected by ladders (Platforms' n Ladders). The player controls the figure of an astronaut and has to avoid extraterrestrial, apple-shaped monsters or lure them to death by digging a hole in the trap. The oxygen supply is limited, however.
A similar game is Mr. Do's Castle .
