Lars Brandau

Lars Brandau (born November 27, 1965 in Hanover ) is an association and communications manager. He organized the founding of the German Derivate Forum.

Life

Brandau is the managing director of the German Derivatives Association . In this function, he also represents German interests in various working groups at European level. In November 2007 he initially took over the management of the German Derivatives Forum.

After high school at Luther School Hannover and military service, he studied at the University of Hannover and made his honors degree in politics and German studies . Professionally, he started first with the radio , first as a freelance employee at Radio FFN , then as an editor at the Norddeutscher Rundfunk in Hannover and Hamburg . From 1992 to 2007 he worked as an editor, reporter , head of duty and chief presenter at the news channel n-tv in Berlin and Cologne , where he was a leader in all broadcast-relevant formats. Brandau moderated the 1998 Bundestag election , the 1999 election of the German Federal President and the 2000 presidential election in the United States . From 2001 to 2003 he presented the business program "Telebörse" and since October 2003 has been a news presenter. As a reporter, he reported from Kosovo, Afghanistan, Israel, the USA, Canada and numerous European metropolises. Chief presenter of n-tv since July 2004, he moderated prime-time news , the survey magazine “n-tv forsa” and various special programs. In autumn 2007 he switched to association business. Lars Brandau has a daughter and lives in Frankfurt am Main .
