The Spadener See is a still body of water east of the village of Spaden (municipality of Schiffdorf ) in the district of Cuxhaven , Lower Saxony .
It is open to the public for a fee and there are toilets there. Dogs brought along may be allowed into the water.
The lake was created in the 1970s as part of the construction of the motorway near Bremerhaven, which made it possible for the community to create a local recreation area for the population.
It is located on a campsite on the eastern edge of Spaden, a few kilometers east of the seaside town of Bremerhaven in a moorland area , is 16 hectares in size and a local recreation area for bathers, campers, anglers and surfers. The area was sold in April 2016. There should be some surprises in terms of development over the next few years.
Entry is allowed for a small fee. The water authority has assessed the likelihood of a possible mass development of blue-green algae as low for years.
