The SPAR Premium League (SPL) includes the two top divisions of the Swiss handball association for women . The SPAR Premium League 1 and SPAR Premium League 2 . The league was called the SWISS Premium League until 2012 .

history

The league was founded in 1970 and LC Brühl Handball is the most successful club with 30 titles. The club has also managed to win eleven titles in a row twice. The second most successful club are the Spono Eagles with five titles, followed by ATV Basel-Stadt and LK Zug with four titles each.

Eight teams compete against each other in the league. The winner gets a qualification place for the EHF Champions League .
