The Spencer Peak is a 440 m high mountain on the north coast of South Georgia . On the Thatcher Peninsula, it rises southwest of Sappho Point on the banks of Cumberland Bay .
The name of the mountain for the first time on a nautical chart of the British Admiralty records from the year 1906th It is named after Lieutenant Patrick Spencer (1875 - unknown) of the Royal Navy, who was in charge of the survey of Cumberland Bay in 1906 on board HMS Sappho .
