The Spieker an der Ameide in Detmold is a former half-timbered warehouse from Belle (Horn-Bad Meinberg) and has been a registered monument since May 17, 1985 .

history

The Spieker was built in the years 1780–81 as a granary on the Lakehof of the married couple Johann Wilhelm Lakemeier and Friederike Henriette Gelhaus in Belle (today part of Horn-Bad Meinberg). The builder was the master carpenter Honner, the design suggests that it came from the Hessian area. After the demolition of the half-timbered barn at the Mittelmühle in 1964 and the subsequent renovation of the mill for the Lippe State Museum , the Lippe State Association, under the leadership of Helmut Holländer, decided on November 26, 1975 to remove the half-timbered store in Belle, which was threatened with decay, and to put it in the free space on Rebuild Detmold moat. The building was relocated in 1976-77 .

The building is owned by the regional association and complements the regional museum with the so-called museum gastronomy. Since September 2013 the Spieker has been managed by the association "Perspektive eV", which wants to enable disadvantaged young people to get an apprenticeship.

architecture

The granary is an eaves-standing , two-story half-timbered building with a half- hipped roof . The oak framework has numerous diagonal struts. The infills were made with red bricks. The corner pillars are carved and painted. A circumferential band separates the first and second floors, with the inscription on two sides

EARLY SAE IN THE MORNING YOUR SEEDS DON'T LET YOUR HAND OFF IN THE EVENING. BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHETHER DIS OR THAT WILL BE ADVISED, AND IF BOTH ARE GOING, IT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER * PRED * SALM * CAP XI * VS VI * ANO MDCCLXXXI

The door frame is richly carved with inscriptions
