The Spiers nunatak is an isolated nunatak in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . In the Wisconsin Range of the Horlick Mountains, it rises 11 km west-northwest of Mount Brecher on the north flank of the Quonset Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy from the years between 1960 and 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1967 after Raymond Reid Robert Spiers (* 1927), cook of the US Aviation Unit Navy at McMurdo Station in 1956, who was involved in the construction of the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station between 1956 and 1957 and was part of the occupation at Byrd Station in 1959 .
