The Spilhaus Inlet is a bay in the southern Antarctic Weddell Sea . Along with McCarthy Inlet and Roberts Inlet, it is one of the three bays on the east side of the Berkner Island, which is surrounded by the Filchner-Ronne Ice Shelf .

Scientists at the US Ellsworth Station under the direction of the US polar explorer Finn Ronne discovered them during overflights and reconnaissance marches between 1957 and 1958. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1988 after the South African-US geophysicist and oceanographer Athelstan Spilhaus (1911–1998), member of the US Committee for Conducting Geomagnetic Surveys as part of the International Geophysical Year (1957–1958) and of the National Science Board from 1966 to 1972.
