The Spooner Bay , a 10 km wide bay on the coast of the East Antarctic Enderbylands . It is located 20km east of Freeth Bay in Alaschejewbucht . The Assender Glacier flows into it .
It was mapped using aerial photographs taken in 1956 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE). During the Thala Dan's research expedition as part of the same series of expeditions, the participants paid a visit to the bay in February 1961. It is named after the Australian politician William Henry Spooner (1897–1966), then Minister for National Development in Australia .
