The Sportfreunde Werne-West (officially: Sportfreunde 67 Werne-West eV ) was a sports club from Werne in the Unna district . The first women's soccer team played for two years in the then first-class Regionalliga West .
history
The association was founded on June 1, 1967. In 1987, the women's team of Sportfreunde made it to the then first-class Regionalliga West and met top clubs such as SSG Bergisch Gladbach , TSV Siegen and KBC Duisburg . After a seventh place in the promotion season, relegation followed in 1989. In 1993 the Sportfreunde provided Nicole Erhardt, a German national player . She came on as a substitute for a game against Switzerland . In 1994 he was once again promoted to the regional league, which was followed by direct relegation. From 1992 to 1995, Beate Henkel, a former national player, trained the Sportfreunde women's team. On December 7, 1999, the Sportfreunde merged with SSV Werne to form Werner SC . With Lars Müller , the Sportfreunde produced a U-21 national player.
