Seed Grove Fountain

The design of the figure of the fountain created in 1930 was created by the Munich sculptor Christoph Franz Peter (* 1860), who was born in Sondershausen and who once also designed the male bronze figure "Schreck" of the Duke Alfred Fountain in the Coburg Hofgarten , which was built in 1903 . The location of the fountain was originally in front of the Saathain Palace , which was destroyed in a fire in April 1945 and of which only the foundation walls are preserved today. In 1953 it was finally moved to its current location on the local village square.
