The Sprocket Glacier is a 5 km long glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows from Skew Peak in the Clare Range in a northerly direction to the Mackay Glacier , which it reaches at the Chain Moraines .
By the New Zealand Geographic Board recognized in 1995 designation for a sprocket ( English sprocket ) goes to the use of bicycles as means of transport in the exploration of the area by the team to the New Zealand glaciologist Trevor JH Chinn (* 1937) in 1992 and 1993 back .
