Spyros Livathinos ( Greek Σπύρος Λιβαθηνός , born June 8, 1955 in Patras , Greece ) is a former Greek football player .

Career

Spyros Livathinos began his career at the youth academy of Panathinaikos Athens , where he played until the summer of 1975 when he was offered a professional contract and he moved to the club's men's team. In the eleven years that followed, the midfield player won three Greek championships (1977, 1984, 1986) and four trophies (1977, 1982, 1984, 1986) and made a total of 267 first division appearances and 43 goals. In 1988, Livathinos moved to Cyprus , where he moved to the local first division club Pezoporikos Larnaka and, in addition to his role as a player, also acted as a coach and in 1988 even won the championship and qualified for the cup final.

In the following years, Livathinos worked for various Greek clubs, such as Ethnikos Asteras or Panachaiki Patras as a coach, before he returned to Panathinaikos and now takes on the role of chief scout there .

During his active career, Spyros Livathinos was appointed to the Greek national soccer team 27 times and scored one goal.
