Squaw Valley is a place in Placer County ( California , United States ).

In 1960 the eighth Olympic Winter Games were held in the “Squaw Valley Ski Resort” located here.

The Squaw Valley ski resort is located west of Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada at around 39 ° north latitude and 120 ° west longitude. There it lies in the Squaw Valley (since 1960 sometimes also referred to as the "Olympic Valley") at an altitude of around 1,890 m.

Sport activities
