The Sri Kailas (other spelling: Sri Kailash ) is a 6932 m high mountain in the Himalayas in Uttarakhand ( India ).
The Sri Kailas is located in the northeast of the Gangotri group in the western Garhwal Himalayas . The mountain has a pyramidal shape. It is considered to be one of the residences of the Hindu Shiva deity. The Sri Kailas is the fourth highest mountain in the Gangotri group after Chaukhamba , Satopanth and Kedarnath . The Raktvam glacier , an eastern tributary glacier of the Gangotrig glacier , has its nutrient area on the southern flank of the mountain.
