Saint Martin Church

The Roman Catholic Church of St-Martin in Aincourt , a French commune in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region , was built in the 12th century. The building has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1939 .

history

The parish church was originally built in the 12th century and extensively renovated in the 16th century, so that only remains of walls from the 12th century are left. The church in the shape of a Latin cross has a choir with a straight end. The bell tower stands on the northern transverse arm and has sound arcades on its upper floor . It is provided with buttresses at the corners and a round stair tower is attached.

Furnishing

In the church there is a wooden statue of John the Evangelist from the 15th century.
