The St. Margaret's Church in Dortmund district Eichlinghofen is a Romanesque hall church from the 12th century. It is registered as an architectural monument in the list of monuments of the city of Dortmund . According to a legend, there was a stone at the entrance portal of the church until 1846, which noted the year 1070 as the year the church was built.

In the second quarter of the 13th century, the original basilica was increased by side aisles and so the church developed into a typical Westphalian hall church with narrow side aisles, a choir bay and an apse that was semicircular on the inside and polygonal on the outside . From 1898 to 1899 the church was expanded to include a transept and a sacristy due to the rapid growth of the community. The apse and the choir were relocated around 6 m to the east. The three-part window group of the apse was restored in the old style. St. Margaret's Church has choir windows in the style of the Nazarenes .

What is remarkable about the furnishings of the church is the organ from 1750 by Johann Georg Alberti . Originally the organ was in the choir room. It was moved to the gallery during the renovation in 1898/99, with an additional manual.

Until it became independent in 1655, the St. Reinoldi Church in Dortmund was subordinate to it .
