The St. Augustine College of South Africa , SACSA for short , is a private Catholic college in Johannesburg in the South African province of Gauteng . It was opened in 1999 and named after Augustine of Hippo .

Organization and range of courses

The St. Augustine is headed by a President who is supported by two Vice-Presidents. The Grand Chancellor has representative and symbolic tasks, the office is currently held by Archbishop Jabulani Nxumalo . The management is responsible to a board of directors and a board of trustees .

The college has had a campus since 2002 , which was acquired with the help of donations from the Rottenburg-Stuttgart diocese . The only faculty is divided into two schools :

The college initially offered master's and doctoral degrees , but now three bachelor's degrees and one honorary degree can be obtained. Annual tuition fees are payable. There are partnerships with the universities of Tübingen and Ludwigsburg . In the undergraduate courses, the majority of the students are black ; in the advanced courses, depending on the course, the proportion of whites is between 3 and 60%, the proportion of Indians 3 and 13% and the proportion of coloreds between 5 and 33%.
