St. Barbara Chapel in Oberzell

The Catholic Chapel of St. Barbara in Oberzell , a district of the Dasing community in the Swabian district of Aichach-Friedberg in Bavaria , was built in 1910 according to plans by the Augsburg architect Albert Kirchmayer.

The neo-baroque central building with a western porch with curved gable and roof turret with onion dome is a protected monument . The flat ceiling with painted field division, created in 1910 by Wilhelm Böhringer, depicts Saint Barbara of Nicomedia and Christian symbols on the corners.

The original sculpture of St. Barbara is missing from the altar from the construction period with God the Father moving out.
