St. Dionysius is a Roman Catholic parish church in Buke , a district of Altenbeken in the Paderborn district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Church and congregation belong to the Egge pastoral network in the Paderborn deanery of the Archdiocese of Paderborn . On July 16, 1986 the church was entered under number 23 in the list of architectural monuments in Altenbeken .
history
In 1231 the villa Buke was assigned to the Archdeaconate of the Provost . In another document from 1325 a pastor of Buke Conradus sacerdos plebanus ton Buke is named as a witness.
The previous building of today's parish church was also the parish church for Altenbeken from 1691 to 1894 with the patron saint of St. Dionysius .
The current church was built between 1894 and 1896.
Building description
The three-aisled, neo-Romanesque three-bay church has a one-bay choir with a round end.
