The church

The Protestant village church of St. Erhard is located in the Pflanzwirbach district in the town of Rudolstadt in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .

history

The originally Romanesque village church was built in the 12th or 13th century for the villages Pflanzwirbach and Ammelstädt and was consecrated to Bishop Erhard von Regensburg , as Ammelstädt once belonged to the diocese of Würzburg .

The interior of the church goes back to a renovation in 1658. Further renovations of the nave followed in 1843, 1870 and 2003, taking into account the originality.

2005 were pews sitting friendly rebuilt and provided with a bench heating of 2006.

The organ of Carl Loesche was built 1885th In 1995 the organ was overhauled by the Saalfeld organ building company Rösel und Hercher .
