St. Georg (Neuenkleusheim)
The Catholic parish church of St. Georg is a listed church building in Neuenkleusheim , a district of the district town of Olpe in North Rhine-Westphalia .
History and architecture
The simple, plastered hall building with arched openings was built in 1827/28. The choir is drawn in trapezoidally. The baroque west tower with a high curved hood is from 1727. In the interior a uniform flat ceiling was drawn in on a sloping approach with a profile cornice .
Furnishing
- The crucifixion group with a life-size crucifix was created from linden wood in the 18th century.
- The organ prospectus with fittings is labeled 1663. The organ originally stood in the former Drolshagen monastery and is a gift from the Hessian landgrave.
