St. Gotthard and St. Erhard is an originally Roman Catholic church made available to the Evangelical Lutheran Church for services in the South Tyrolean town of Brixen , which is known colloquially as the Erhard Church . The baroque building is located on Erhardgasse in the pedestrian zone of Bressanone's old town, west of the Domplatz. It has been a listed building since 1984 .

history

Iron Age artefacts found during archaeological excavations in the area of ​​today's church document a long-lasting settlement of the place. Building description

Inside there are ceiling paintings in quatrefoil framing from around 1700, which the name of Jesus and St. Representing the Trinity . The high altar made of white marble was built around 1840 and has an altar cross from 1740. The coat of arms of Bishop Vintler, the builder of the church, can be seen on the wrought iron grating from the construction period.
