Cuno Eichler

Cuno Eichler (born December 4, 1888 in Frankfurt (Oder) , † July 31, 1979 in Karlsruhe ) was a German politician of the NSDAP . From 1936 to 1945 he was district leader of the Bonn district.

Life

Eichler attended the municipal high school in Bonn, where he obtained the upper secondary school leaving certificate and then worked at a branch of the Dresdner Bank . He took part in the First World War as a pilot . He was awarded the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd class , the pilot's badge in black and the badge for the wounded . After the war he worked at the bank again. He then became an authorized officer and furniture representative and ran his own furniture business from 1928 to 1930.

On October 1, 1930, he joined the NSDAP ( membership number 321.908). From 1933 he worked full-time for the party, first as deputy district leader in the Euskirchen district, then from 1936 as district leader of Bonn. On July 31, 1937, he was confirmed in this office by Adolf Hitler .

After the war, Eichler was interned and then in custody . A verdict court in Bielefeld sentenced him to seven years in prison because he was part of the NSDAP's political leadership corps. This sentence was downgraded to four years and three months in 1949. The remainder of the custodial sentence after the deduction of remand and internment custody he served in Emsland until July 6, 1949 .

Eichler then worked as a representative in the automotive industry.
