Robert Crawford Junior

Robert Lawrence Crawford junior (born May 13, 1944 in Quantico , Virginia ) is an American actor and film producer .

Life

Crawford began his career in 1956 with an uncredited role in the comedy film Playboy - March, March, with Natalie Wood in the lead role. In the following years he had a few guest appearances in various television series. For his appearance in the episode Child of Our Time of the television game series Playhouse 90 , he was nominated for an Emmy for Best Actor in 1959 . He also appeared in three episodes between 1958 and 1959 as a guest in the western series West of Santa Fé , in which his brother Johnny Crawford played one of the leading roles.

Between 1959 and 1960 he played Andy Sherman in the western series At the Foot of the Blue Mountains , which made him known to a wide television audience. However, in the third season of the series, his role was written out. In the following years he was seen in several other television productions and had few, small film roles. In the late 1960s, Crawford ended his acting career and began working as a film producer. His first film as an associate producer was the seven Academy Award-winning crime comedy The Clou . As a producer, he oversaw the two Oscars nominated comedy Garp and How He Saw the World and Funny Farm .

His father was the actor and film editor Robert Crawford .
