The Catholic branch church of St. John the Baptist is a Romanesque church in Altfalterbach , a small district of the Nandlstadt market in the Upper Bavarian district of Freising . It belongs to the parish of Schweinersdorf . The building is a listed building (file number D-1-78-144-26).

history

The Romanesque church was supposedly built between 1156 and 1172 by a Reginaldus. The slim, Gothic saddle tower in the west has two bells, the small tone "b", the larger one comes from the old bells in Schweinersdorf (hung in the tower around 1960). An exterior restoration took place in 1985 and an interior restoration in 1986/87. A visit is possible through the sexton on site.

Building description

It is a Romanesque hall building from 1156–1172 with a strongly recessed apse and a late medieval gable tower.
