The Filialkirche St. Josef is a Catholic church in Eitorf - Harmonie established in the Rhein-Sieg district . It belongs to the Archdiocese of Cologne .

Beginnings and construction

The foundation stone was laid on May 1, 1970 by Dean Herrmann Josef Pazen. It is the day of St. Joseph the Worker to which this church is dedicated.

The plans for the octagonal hall construction come from the architect Hans Lob from Siegburg. The construction was carried out by a local company.

Furnishing

Altar, ambo , tabernacle , benches and organ come from secular churches. The large crucifix set with rock crystals was created by the artist Heinrich Lückemkötter from Oelde . A large stone figure is placed directly at the entrance. It represents St. Joseph. It was created by Manfred Saul from Hennef. On the roof there is a pine cone that turns St. Joseph into a large baptismal font from above. St. Josef has a bell, the pitch of the strike and foundrymen are not known.
