The Roman Catholic Church of St. Josef in Weichtung , a district of the Maßbach market in Lower Franconia , is dedicated to St. Joseph of Nazareth .

The church is one of the architectural monuments of Maßbach and is registered under the number D-6-72-131-31 in the Bavarian list of monuments .

history

The building of the St. Joseph Church was built from 1698 to 1708; while the basement of the tower dates back to the 15th century. The altars of the church were built around 1700, the pulpit in 1702.

The organ was built in 1758 and 1759 by the Voit company from Schweinfurt , of which only two organs are left in all of Lower Franconia. The organ case was built around 1630.
