The St. Lawrence and Atlantic Railroad (SLR) is a local railroad company in Vermont , New Hampshire and Maine ( USA ) and in the Canadian province of Québec with headquarters in Auburn (Maine) . The Canadian subsidiary St. Lawrence and Atlantic Railroad (Canada) or Chemin de fer St-Laurent et Atlantique Quebec is based in Richmond (Québec) .

It operates the former Canadian National Line from Portland (Maine) to Sainte-Rosalie (Québec) with a length of 417 kilometers and three short branch lines to Lewiston , Norway and in the urban area of Berlin .
