On December 20, 1964 St. Ludger was finally consecrated. In the following year the parish hall was completed and in 1974 the rectorate parish was elevated to a parish . An extensive renovation took place between 1978 and 1980. In 2008 the church was rebuilt to meet the needs of the college community.

architecture

St. Ludger is largely made of exposed concrete. The church is characterized by the side aisle, which consists of a cuboid hall. The window openings of the nave go from floor to ceiling and run along the entire length of the nave. Particularly noticeable are the slat-like window structures made of concrete, so-called Brise Soleil elements , as developed by Le Corbusier as sun protection.
