The church is registered under number 20 in the list of monuments of the municipality of Titz .

history

The church in Jackerath was built from 1854 to 1858 according to plans by the Cologne architect Vincenz Statz in the neo-Gothic style . The tower was built in 1866 according to plans by an architect named Weise. During the Second World War, the church was so badly damaged that the vaults in the central nave and in the choir collapsed. After the war, the missing vault was replaced by a flat ceiling. Only in the two side aisles are the vaults preserved.

Furnishing

In the church there are windows by the artist Marianne Hilgers from the 1950s.
