The St. Vitus Church is the Roman Catholic parish church in the Gevelsdorf district of the Titz municipality in the Düren district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

The church is registered under number 18 in the list of monuments of the municipality of Titz .

history

The Gevelsdorf Church is a single-nave hall structure and was built around 1819 in the Baroque style. In the years 1932 to 1933 the small church was expanded to include a large bell tower in the west.

Furnishing

In the church there is a Way of the Cross , probably made around 1900, and pews from the same period. The choir has a modern design. The windows of the church were created by the Hattingen artist Egon Stratmann in the 1980s. Windows by an unknown artist from the 1950s can also be seen.
