The Roman Catholic Church of St. Maria von Fatima is located in Singenrain , a district of the Schondra market in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen .

The church is one of the architectural monuments of Schondra and is registered under the number D-6-72-149-47 in the Bavarian list of monuments .

history

The St. Maria von Fatima Church was built from July 1947 to 1950 according to plans by the Würzburg architect Eugen Altenhöfer. The church was consecrated on June 4, 1950. Behind the main altar is a depiction of the resurrection created by Valentin Weidner from Bad Kissingen in 1889 .

In 1958 the churchyard was built with a cross donated by Gonradus Weber from 1756. In 1984 the organ created by the Norbert Krieger company from Retzbach was installed.

In 1978 and 1990 the church was renovated on a large scale.
