The village church of St. Marien is in the Stelzen district of the town of Tanna in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

history

The church was built on the site of a previous church in 1806. The well-preserved cemetery wall and the baptismal font from 1796 come from the previous church.

Between 1994 and 1996, the nave was sponged and the cemetery wall was re-covered with slate . The tower clock strikes again and the inside of the tower has been renovated. The facade is damaged.

Furnishing

The circumferential gallery with layers balustrade includes fields on the east side of the pulpit altar between four columns with Corinthian capitals , of pulpit basket is provided with sound cover , and the symbol of the Holy Trinity in the triangle with halo equipped.

Opposite the altar is the organ with a lively prospect . Two angels hold banners.
