The Protestant village church of St. Martin is at the highest point in the Mötzelbach district of the Uhlstädt-Kirchhasel community in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .

The church stands on the site of a former chapel for traders and travelers above the heights of the Saale area . In the Gothic period this building was changed into a village church.
