St. Martin (Vollerwiek)
St. Martin was founded in 1113 from Garding in Vollerwiek . In the 19th century the Romanesque church building was expanded to the west. The Gothic folding altar in the choir shows a crucifixion from around 1460 with carvings and paintings. The choir screens are dominated by a triumphal cross group from 1663.
Compared to the richly designed Renaissance - pulpit hanging on the north wall copies of portraits of Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon by Lucas Cranach . The carving and painting of the organ gallery take up the design of the pulpit.
The design is very similar to St. Martin in Osterhever .
St. Martin was the baptistery of the bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover , Ralf Meister .
