The Evangelical Lutheran , listed church of St. Martin is in Oettersdorf , a community in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia . St. Martin belongs to the municipal part Holzmühle the parish Oettersdorf in the parish area Oettersdorf-Neundorf in the church district Schleiz the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The small octagonal central building was built in 1842. The building offers six hundred seats. It is covered with a slate-covered tent roof from which a ridge turret rises. The corners are marked with pilaster strips , and there is an arched frieze under the eaves . There are high windows only on six sides, the pulpit altar and the organ face each other on the two windowless walls . Church services are only held here in the summer and on Christmas Eve . The Laurentiuskirche serves as the winter church .
