St. Michael (Poing)
St. Michael is the old parish church in Poing .

The church tower, a former defensive tower from the Carolingian era , establishes the monument protection . A chapel was built next to the tower in the 8th century. In 1052 the first church in the form of a choir tower church was built.
In 1954, when the church became too small, the present shape was created. From Friedrich Ferdinand Haindl the back wall of the church was torn down and planted a nave, which emerged height differences within and without. The church can accommodate 220 visitors.

The organ with 43 stops on three manuals and a pedal was built in 1987 by Manufacture d'Orgues Muhleisen . The disposition is:

New parish church
In 2018, the larger new church of Blessed Father Rupert Mayer by Andreas Meck (1959-2019) became the parish church of Poing.
