St. Michael cemetery chapel in Obing

The St. Michael cemetery chapel in Obing , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein , was built in 1870. The the Archangel Michael consecrated chapel at the Kienberger Street 2 is a protected monument .

The previous building, the late Gothic All Souls' Chapel in its core , was demolished in 1869. The new building in neo -Gothic style was built by the Wasserburg master mason Michael Geisberger. He has a roof turret . The interior of the chapel is decorated with ornaments. The altar comes from the Munich sculptor Johann Wirth .
