The Protestant village church of St. Nikolaus is located in the Trebnitz district of the independent city of Gera in Thuringia on a plateau south of the Brahmetal.

history

The 15th century church was extended in 1744 in the baroque style. The nave got a box extension to the west . In 1718 a small organ was purchased , and in 1889 a large one. In 1800 the church got an octagonal tower with a curved hood . In the nave there are three-sided galleries and a valuable pulpit altar . A thorough renovation took place from 1988 to 1993. A new consecration then took place.

The bells date from the 14th and 15th centuries.
