The Catholic branch church St. Peter in the in Niedertraubling (municipality Obertraubling ) in the district of Regensburg ( Bavaria ) is a hall building with a hipped gable roof and flank tower with stepped gable.

history

A previous church was probably built in connection with the creation of a noble residence. The church was probably remodeled in the mid-14th century. The tower was built in 1533. The late Gothic choir is equipped with baroque cheeks and acanthus tendrils. In 1640 the church was expanded. The interior was renovated in 1987. The foundations were renovated in 2000 and the roof and the outer facade were renovated in 2001.

Furnishing

A late Gothic terracotta Pieta from around 1470 and a mother Anna Selbdritt from around 1460/70 are on the left side wall. The Way of the Cross comes from St. Michael in Köfering . The high altar , created in 1720 by Paul Dilger from Augsburg , was acquired by Köfering in 1885.

The organ was created by the Siemann organ builder in 1901 .

The big bell of the Regensburg foundry Schelchshorn dates from 1647, the small 72 kg bell from 1652.

The church has an adjacent small cemetery.
