The Protestant branch church St. Peter and Paul is in the Mauderode district of the Werther community in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia .

history

In 1606 the simple choir tower church was built from rubble stones with a retracted choir and half-timbered upper floor for the tower . It is believed that there was a previous church. The first bell was purchased in 1487 and the second in 1500.

In the cemetery is the empty mausoleum of privy councilor Bruno Kunze, inventor of the air pressure brake for railways . He owned land in the village and lived in Germany .
