The Protestant village church of St. Peter and Paul is in Kannawurf in the Sömmerda district of Thuringia .

history

The village church with a medieval core was built in the 17th century. A predecessor was not reported, but its existence is likely.

The church tower is at the west end of the church . To the east of the building is a three-sided choir .

The nave is an elongated hall church . In it stands the pulpit altar and the altar block with the altar table. The galleries and the stalls fill the room. The baptismal font with baptismal bowl gives the sacred jewelry. The box with epitaph and lectern as well as the lecture cross are symbols of Christianity .

From 2012 the church had solar cells installed on its elongated roof area .
