St. Remigius (Kröv)
The Catholic parish church of St. Remigius in Kröv , a local community in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich in Rhineland-Palatinate , is a listed church building.
The building was built in 1725 by the Trier court architect Johann Georg Judas , who also built the abbey church in Prüm . The tower of the previous church from the 16th century has been preserved and raised. The single-nave , four-bay building in post-Gothic forms has a barrel vault and is structured on the outside by buttresses. As with other post-Gothic buildings, the conscious recourse to Gothic forms took place as a symbol of ancient venerability.
A figure of St. Remigius and a crucifixion group are placed above the main portal . The high altar is a work from around 1725 with a crucifixion painting. The side altars, the pulpit, the confessionals and the wall paneling in the choir date from around 1770.
