St. Severinus

The Protestant village church of St. Severinus is in the Backleben district of the city of Kölleda in the Sömmerda district in Thuringia .

history

The church dates from the 18th century. The stone tablet embedded in the church tower with the year 1575 is regarded as a reference to the previous church.

The roof of the nave is currently being renovated in a third construction phase . The members of the church community oriented volunteer interior of the church restored. In 2010 the evangelical confessional behind the altar and the pulpit staircase were renewed with the help of funds .
