St. Tropez is a French television series that was produced in France from 1996 to 2008 and broadcast by the German television station VOX from February 1999 . For 2013, a season of a serial was ordered under the name Sous le soleil de Saint-Tropez ; Filming for this will start in October 2012. The series takes place in the town of the same name on the Côte d'Azur and revolves around the three friends Laure, Jessica and Caroline.

When Claude Lacroix was forced to offer his private beach on the coast of St. Tropez for sale, he did not expect the tenacity of his son Louis and his clique. Louis quits school without further ado to save the paradise of their childhood with his friends. Sandra, a young businesswoman, takes over the management, Louis becomes the “girl for everything”.
Her friend Laure is plagued by other worries: She has just celebrated her engagement to the ambitious Alain Dulac when the adventurer Grégory, Louis' brother and Laures first love, reappears in her life. At first glance, both of them realize that they still feel something for one another. Grégory asks Laure to set sail with him instead of marrying him. Alain manages to thwart the meeting with a devious maneuver.
